Unbelievable.. Sickening.. I signed it, ofcourse. Though I know dogs are being treated as garbage in many parts of the world, actually claiming a starving dog is "art" is such an insolent act of cruely that I cannot understand anyone to commit it.

That is sooooo f*cking sick! Excuse my language but it makes me so angry too...and makes me want to cry. Didn't anyone in the gallery protest??? Are they all so cruel? I keep getting an error message when I go to sign but I'll be signing as soon as it goes back to normal.

I've reposted the links in my facebook and myspace profiles and I'm about to repost in my journal too. I really do think this needs to be brought to the attention of everyone - especially those who are complacent about the treatment of animals around the world. I can't bring myself to go to the link again though... it's torture, what he's done.

Its not a hoax. I wish it was.
It was a well publicized exhibition that took place in October last year and not just the 'artist' but also the gallery owners and Costa Rican media verify the nature of the exhibition. It caused a huge uproar at the time which is also well-documented. Legal proceedings are being brought against him by three separate Costa Rican organisations over this.
This lastest petition has been started to try and stop him being admitted to an upcoming event.
Whoever told you it was a hoax just can't face up to the fact that something like this really can possible have happened. It did, and should never happen again.
